Mr. Buxton is a long time Washington State resident, having received his BA in Business from Western Washington University in 1984. While at Western, Mr. Buxton studied some art, not thinking that he would later embrace it enthusiastically. However, he is an artist who is primarily self-educated and it is this quality that accounts for much of the charm in his works. His work was featured in a recent edition of the exclusive Bainbridge Island cultural periodical Exhibition Magazine. In addition, he was declared a runner-up in the Encyclopaedia of Living Artists competition for their cover artwork.
